I’ll admit to being enamored with the idea of the gig economy. I’ve been living and thriving in it for more than 20 years. While I think it’s great because it works for me, I can see how it’s not for everyone.
When I read this article from SpendMatters.com, I was struck by the question the author raises when he wonders how he would feel if one of his kids said, “Dad, when I grow up I want to be a gig worker.”
While gig work appears to be a growing trend, can most people make a career from it? I’m not sure. Read it and give the question some thought. I’d be interested in what you think.
