Just the other day, while working to learn piano scales, I commented that it doesn’t seem like my brain has the ability to retain simple patterns anymore. In this case it was the fingerings for each scale.
My wife said she read that it might have something to do with spending too much time on the phone.
According to this video (2:36), there are two things we need to do if we want to get better at concentrating on the hard stuff:
- Break our addition to distraction.
- Active brain training.
As usual, my wife was dishing out some good advice.
