21 years after starting my business, I’ve never once felt the need to rent office space. My home office works just fine, thank you.
But I’m a one-man shop. What about all those organizations with lots of people? Turns out many of them are ditching the office as well for some really good reasons:
- Employees are happier. No commute and no need for work clothes are two reasons why.
- Recruiting the best because they’ll now consider working for you if they don’t have to move from the place they love.
- Less expensive. Those fancy buildings are expensive. Have you bought an office chair lately?
- Increased flexibility. This is a benefit to both employers and employees.
The trend is growing. Read about it here, and then start thinking about how you’re going to thrive in a world of remote work.
